Privacy Policy

The short version

SpinPick runs entirely in your web browser. The options you type, your saved lists, and your spin history all stay on your own device. Nothing about your options is uploaded to any server, and nobody else — including us — can see what you spin for.

What stays on your device (no upload)

Parsing your options, choosing a winner, and animating the wheel all happen locally in the browser tab. Saved lists are written to your browser’s local storage (and you can delete them anytime). A list you “share” is encoded into the link itself — it travels in the URL you copy, not through our servers.

You can verify this: open your browser’s developer tools, watch the Network panel, and spin the wheel — you will see no request carrying your option text.

We are not a data processor for your options

Because your options are processed only on your device and never reach our infrastructure, SpinPick does not collect, receive, store, or process the personal data your lists may contain (such as student or participant names). For that data, you remain the controller; SpinPick does not act as a data processor, since the data never leaves your device.

No ads, no third-party tracking

This site currently shows no advertising and uses no third-party tracking analytics. We use only Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track or fingerprint individuals. We set no non-essential cookies. All processing happens locally in your browser and your options are never uploaded.

Your GDPR / privacy rights

Where applicable law (including the GDPR and UK GDPR) gives you rights over personal data — such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability — you may exercise them by contacting us. Because we hold no account data and never receive the options in your lists, we do not hold personal data about you, so for most of these rights there is no corresponding data on our side.
